Important! Do not forget to upload your oral presentation in pdf format

  • All presenters have to upload on-line an electronic copy of their presentation in .pdf format prior to the actual presentation at the scheduled MT25 session.
  • For uploading your oral presentation, please go to the timetable and presentations Indico site: https://indico.cern.ch/e/MT25-2017 or the latest deliver your oral presentation for upload at the Publication Office in Room G104, located on the 1st floor of the RAI Congress Center.

 

Presentation format, time available, number of sheets, presence during the session

  • Presentations are viewed in the three presentation rooms using computers managed by the MT25 Conference. Presenters’ personal computers cannot be used, no exceptions.
  • Presenters have to submit an electronic version of their talk at least one day prior to their presentation to the Speaker Preparation Room & Publication Office, Room G104 on the first floor of the congress center. Files are reviewed, scanned for viruses and loaded onto the computers in the session rooms.
  • Changes to submitted files are not possible. By participating to MT25 and submitting your presentation, you implicitly agree to publish the content of your presentation on the public Indico site. Note that only presentations submitted and pre-viewed can be presented.
  • Using removable media like USB drives is prohibited on the computers in the oral session rooms.
  • Files transferred to the session computers cannot be copied by anyone and will be deleted after the conference. Only the copy on the Indico site is permanent.
  • Presentations must be submitted in Microsoft Power Point 2013 or PDF format. The only media for submitting your presentation in the Speaker Preparation Room is a USB flash drive.
  • Macintosh computers are not available in the session rooms, nor in the Publication Office. Authors using a Macintosh must ensure their presentations operate correctly using Microsoft Office 2013 or Adobe Acrobat in the Windows environment.
  • All session rooms are equipped with an LCD projector, computer, microphones, laser pointer, timer and screen. The laptops in the oral session rooms are not equipped to accommodate audio sound.
  • The display format in all session rooms is 16:9.
  • Contributed oral presentations are 15 minutes long. Arrange your talk so that your presentation lasts 12 to 13 minutes with 2 to 3 minutes available for questions.
  • Invited oral presentations are 30 minutes long. Arrange your talk so that your presentation lasts 25 minutes with 5 minutes available for questions.
  • A wise guideline for the number of sheets in your presentation is 1.0 to 1.5 minute per slide. This means the expected number of sheets in the oral presentation should be 8 to 12 for orals of 12 minutes, 16 to 25 for invited orals of 25 minutes, depending on the density of information per sheet.
  • Keep in mind that you’re presenting in a relatively large room, so adapt the font size accordingly.
  • Please arrive at least 10 minutes before the session start and introduce yourself to the session chairs before the start of the session.
  • There will be no rearrangement of papers within an oral session to accommodate absences or cancellations. The time assigned to an oral presentation within the oral session is fixed.
  • A paper written from its presentation cannot be considered for publication in IEEE-TAS if the presentation was not given at the scheduled time at the Conference.
  • If you need to make changes or withdraw your abstract from the program before the conference, please inform us by e-mail at: publication.office@mt-25.org.
  • If you need to make changes or withdraw your presentation from the program on site at the Conference, please contact the staff in the Publications Office (room G104). Please provide your presentation/program ID number in any correspondence.
